This review is from: Nikko Astro-RC Xtreme Fleet (Toy)
I recently bought one of these boats. It would be good for some one looking for a reasonably priced RC boat that is rugged like a toy but has a sharp almost scale appearance. Unlike that picture shown my boat had a longer duck bill looking rubber bumper on the tip of the bow. I trimmed this off and painted it over to give the boat a cleaner appearance. I would say that it could be called 1/25 scale.
This boat uses a single screw (propeller) and rudder for propulsion and steering rather than two motors for those with a preference.
Control range and running time is reasonable for a toy RC boat.
The rechargeable battery is of proprietary design so replacing it when it no longer takes a charge may be more difficult than with a more common battery design. When being run in water with some ripples the boats tends to nose into the swells taking water over the deck and into the cockpit. This does not hurt the boat, but can look funny.
